DEPUTY Tom Barry has warmly welcomed confirmation from Minister Phil Hogan that the funding is available to fund emergency works on the Kildorrery Water Scheme.
He said: “Cork County council have confirmed that they made a fresh application for emergency funds last week for this project. Meanwhile, Minister Hogan’s office has confirmed that funding is available once this application is processed.
“I hope that we can soon see a speedy resolution to the ongoing and severe difficulties with the provision of water services in Kildorrery – as recently achieved in Lombardstown.
“I would like to thank Minister Hogan for his co-operation on this matter; along with the hardworking local committee and local representatives who assisted in bringing this matter to the top of the agenda.”
